Good Soil Production + Management is an artist-driven company dedicated to cultivating powerful performances that amplify underrepresented voices and explore complex social narratives. We produce opera, musical theater, and multidisciplinary performance art that centers marginalized communities and uplifts diverse perspectives. By presenting works in unconventional spaces such as gardens, galleries, and community centers, as well as traditional theaters, we ensure that art reaches diverse audiences and inspires collective action.
Good Soil Production + Management is dedicated to cultivating innovative and artist-centered programming that amplifies underrepresented voices and narratives in the performing arts. Our mission is to provide a platform for artists to explore their authentic voices and tell impactful stories that resonate with diverse communities.

our crew
Jayme Alilaw, Co-Founder and CEO of Good Soil Production + Management, is an Army veteran, mother, and multi-faceted artist with over 15 years of experience as an opera singer, vocal coach, and producer. With advanced degrees in Vocal Performance, Jayme is celebrated for her artistry in both traditional and contemporary opera, most recently premiering the role of The Mother in *I Can’t Breathe*. As a former Resident Artist with The Atlanta Opera, Jayme curated collaborations with leading arts institutions such as The High Museum, Alliance Theater, and Dad's Garage Theater, where she co-founded the operatic improv troupe, ImprOper. Committed to social justice and uplifting marginalized voices, she is currently touring *La Femme Noire: The Celebrated Woman*, a multimedia concert celebrating African American women’s contributions to Western classical music, serves as a member of the OPERA America Civil Practice Council and is a former member of the Black Opera Alliance Leadership Council.

Angelique Dumas Edwards, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Good Soil Production + Management, is a certified project manager with over 20 years of experience in community development, emergency management, and organizational change. As Principal Consultant at Dumas Edwards, LLC, she specializes in strategic planning, grant administration, and providing technical solutions for public and private sector organizations. Angelique holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State University at Mankato and is a proud HBCU graduate of Southern University at New Orleans.
